What did our client need?
There was a need for training the medical audit staff of health financiers in precision oncology to develop a comprehensive healthcare ecosystem for the care of Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) patients.
Our Solution:
Training sessions and strategic specialization on the topic of NSCLC aimed at introducing and expanding knowledge about the journey of these patients with a focus on precision oncology. The goal was to introduce technical terminology, epidemiology of the cases, benefits of targeted therapies and immunotherapies for various stakeholders in the healthcare system. Through innovative methodologies, we facilitated understanding of variables to consider for an economic analysis, the relationship between different predictive biomarkers, approved methodologies for their measurement, and associated treatments. Given the diverse background of the medical auditors, user-friendly language was used to enhance content comprehension.
What did our client need?
To identify opportunities to establish links and strategic partnerships with the Patient Organizations sector.
Our Solution:
We took the client’s need and directed their interest towards understanding the self-perceptions of NGOs about their role, the beliefs they hold about their potential, the limitations they identify, and their perspectives on their intervention in precision oncology.
The proposed design was based on articulating the scientific character of the Roundtable as a group technique aimed at accurately and expertly presenting the thematic axes with the potential of the workgroups in terms of collective knowledge construction. The activities included the creation of guiding content for the pre-Workgroup Consultation Clinic and its development, the preparation of introductions and content for the Kick-off presentations of the thematic axes, the elaboration of guidelines and content for the workgroups: group work guidelines on the thematic axes, the design of documents and work materials, and the strategic selection and assembly of criteria for the formation of the teams participating in the worktables. This methodology facilitated interactions between our client and the NGO representatives, establishing a joint work agenda, setting concrete actions for potential links, strategic agreements, and partnerships.
What did our client need?
An immersion for oncologists and pathologists in precision oncology, considering the nascent development of this discipline in their country.
Our Solution:
Designing a preceptorship that includes activities such as lectures on Precision Medicine focused on the Patient Journey, a visit to a Pathological Anatomy, Molecular Biology, and Sequencing laboratory, a mock tumor molecular committee simulation, and workgroup activities aimed at generating Real World Evidence inputs. These would help identify advantages and pain points in their healthcare institutions for the implementation of precision oncology.
